Peanut Farm

Anchorage

The feel

The Peanut Farm sits on Campbell Creek at the corner of Old Seward Highway and International Airport Road. The original log building was built in 1958 and opened in 1962 with empty peanut shells in the floor, and it is still called the original side. A 2005 expansion added a two-story sports bar and grill with 24 foot ceilings and an 80 foot bar, with a TV at every booth.

The deck by the creek looks out on river otters, beavers, moose, geese and ducks, and people floating the creek stop in for a drink or a bite. A bike trail runs behind the parking lot.

Mingo says

Pick a night without a marquee game if you want elbow room. A summer visit puts you on the creekside deck.
