The feel

Double Shovel Cider Co. is an Anchorage cidery and tap room at 502 W. 58th Ave. The tap room is spacious with a relaxed atmosphere and hand-made tables for groups or sharing. A year-round outdoor patio adds more room, and seating is both indoor and outdoor.

The Alaska-made hard ciders are dry and not too sweet, and a flight of several small pours is the usual way to sample. Locally made snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are served inside, and rotating food trucks pull up daily. Kids are welcome with a parent or legal guardian, friendly dogs are welcome, and a baby-changing station is on hand. The founders began making cider in 2013 and moved into a small Anchorage warehouse in August 2015.

Alaska-made hard ciders on draft, locally made snacks and non-alcoholic drinks inside. Food comes from rotating food trucks daily. Ciders are also sold in cans around Alaska.

A summer market runs on Saturdays.

Kids are welcome with a parent or legal guardian, and there is a baby-changing station.

Friendly dogs are welcome.

Season and access
