Bear Tooth Theatrepub

Anchorage

The feel

The Bear Tooth sits in the former Denali Theater in Spenard. The Moose's Tooth brothers opened it four years after their pub, inspired by pizza and beer in a movie theater in Portland. The theatre has 275 seats with tables, and every seat is reserved, including single seats and the 3-person and 4-person booths.

It is a second-run movie hub for Anchorage and the only place in town to catch relevant documentaries and Art House films. Food runners bring burritos, tacos and Moose's Tooth pizzas to your seat while Broken Tooth Brewing beer, wine and margaritas come from a bar inside the theatre. Concerts and comedy nights also play here.

Mingo says

Plan your evening around a show, because live shows sell tickets of their own. Order food the moment you have your ticket, since dishes take a while to arrive.

Before you go

  • Call (907) 276-4200 with questions; no reservations are taken for dining.
  • Bring valid ID for the main floor, or sit in the balcony with kids.
  • Sit in the seat you ordered for, because food orders are linked to your seat number.
  • Check the live events page for ticket prices and age limits before you buy.
