Bernie's Bungalow Lounge
Anchorage
The feel
Bernie's Bungalow Lounge started in a little white house in 1997 as a martini lounge, and it calls itself Alaska's original martini lounge. It is known for its large outdoor patio, with some of the outdoor seating sheltered.
Inside, there is a dance floor upstairs and a bar downstairs for cold weather. The menu is Asian American food and burgers, with 24 beer taps, martinis and wine. In November 2020 the lounge stopped daily operations until further notice, and the venue stayed available for private events.

Mingo says
Check that the doors are open before you head downtown. Aim for a summer evening if they are, when the patio draws the crowd.
