Daymingo is a weather first trip planner for Southcentral and Interior Alaska: pick a day, and it matches the hikes, camping, biking, breweries, sights and events that actually work.
What it does
Daymingo brings Southcentral and Interior Alaska's weather, roads, rivers, aurora and map data together in one place, and matches it to what you can actually do that day. Pick a forecast day and it ranks the hikes, campgrounds, biking routes, breweries, sights and local events that fit the conditions, rather than leaving you to check the weather and the activity list separately.
It also tracks daily sockeye salmon counts on the Kenai, Kasilof and Russian rivers, and calls tonight's aurora chances by weighing cloud cover, darkness, moonlight and the solar wind together instead of a bare Kp number.
Who makes it
Daymingo is an independent site, not a government agency and not affiliated with any of the public data sources it maps. It is a planning aid, not an authority: see sources and disclaimers for where the data comes from and what to verify before you go.
