Anchorage Museum
Anchorage
The feel
The museum is at 625 C Street in downtown Anchorage, a short walk from Town Square Park, and it stays open year-round. On the second floor, the Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center shows more than 600 Alaska Native cultural heritage pieces brought back to their homelands in the Living Our Cultures exhibition.
The center uses touch screens, videos with Alaska Native experts and a 3-D sound art installation of Alaska Native storytellers. Art and science galleries share the building, and.
