Alaska Public Lands Information Center
Anchorage
The feel
The center is in Anchorage's historic Old Federal Building at 605 W 4th Avenue, Suite 105. National Park Rangers staff the desk and help with one-on-one trip planning, brochures and maps, camping destinations and safety tips.
Exhibits cover natural, historical and cultural features across the state, and exhibits, videos and special programs are free. Visitors can also earn a Jr. Ranger badge. There are ranger programs in summer.
