Hive Mind Meadery

The feel

Hive Mind is a honey-wine meadery and tasting room for when beer isn't the mood. It opened in July 2022 at 600 W. 58th Ave, Suite A, after a planning phase that began in 2020.

The meads are made as naturally as possible, with no added sulfides, sulfates, man-made chemicals or food coloring whenever possible. The meadery also has an event room code named the D&D Speakeasy, stocked with dice, dice towers, miniatures and terrain for tabletop groups.

What to expect

Setting

A tap room at 600 W. 58th Ave, Suite A, and a rentable event room. Enter through the garage side of the building.

Hours

Wednesday to Friday 4pm to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday 12pm to 8pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Food and drink

Honey wine, poured as flights. Packs are also sold at liquor stores around Anchorage.

Music and events

The tap room and event room can be rented together. Tabletop groups can use the D&D Speakeasy.

Parking

Park on either side of the building, without blocking any garage doors.

Mingo says

Aim for a weekend, when the doors open at noon instead of 4pm. That gives you the longest window for a flight.

• Park beside the building and keep clear of the garage doors.
• Come in through the garage side of the building.
• Plan around Monday and Tuesday, when it is closed.
