Lower Skilak Lake boat launch

Sterling

The feel

The lower Skilak ramp sits near where the lake spills back into the Kenai. It is quieter than Upper Skilak, with 14 wooded waterfront sites beside the ramp off the Skilak Lake Loop Road.

You troll, jig or spin for rainbow trout, Dolly Varden, lake trout and sockeye. The same big-water wind caution applies here as on the rest of the lake.
