Bing's Landing State Recreation Site
Sterling
The feel
Bing's Landing is a busy stretch of Kenai River bank, lined with fishing platforms and a boat launch for the sockeye crowds. Two boardwalks flank the launch and most people fish from those. A small dirt trail from the launch follows the river downstream to the primary fishing hole, which may be crowded but is often full of fish.
The Kenai also carries king, red, silver and pink salmon, and kings often weigh from 50 to over 85 pounds.

Mingo says
Aim for the sockeye run, when the platforms and the lower fishing hole fill up. Expect the lot to overflow onto the road at the peak.
