Eklutna Tailrace king salmon fishery

The feel

This is a stocked terminal fishery for Chinook (king) salmon on a river near Palmer. It stays open even when wild stock fisheries are restricted.

You reach it by highway vehicle off the Old Glenn Highway in the Butte area, at MP 3.5. Vault latrines and dumpsters sit at the site. The Alaska Department of Fish and Game Palmer Area Office is the regulations contact for it.
