Stetson Creek Trail
The feel
This is basically a mining access trail, a wide road that is very steep at the beginning and very wet in some places. It climbs from the Sterling Highway through forest, then follows Stetson Creek up its valley, where it levels out into a mountain valley.
Lots of small streams cross the trail. The forest, views and wildflowers make it good for birding, and the trail is rated hard.

Mingo says
Wet ground and snow decide this hike. Check conditions with the ranger district before you commit to the full 10.4 miles.
