Whiskey Gulch

The feel

Whiskey Gulch is ocean fishing near Anchor Point, where anglers fish from shore or beach launch small boats. King, coho, pink and sockeye salmon, and halibut are the most common fish here.

The access road is open seasonally, and its grade is extremely steep. The nearshore waters are often restricted to protect returning Cook Inlet king salmon, so king fishing depends on the regulations in force when you arrive.
