Susitna Landing
Willow
The feel
Susitna Landing is the mid-Susitna state launch and campground at the Kashwitna mouth, off the Parks Highway. The campground has 69 sites, and the site is staffed in summer. Drift boats fish the water for Chinook, sockeye, coho, rainbow trout and northern pike, using spin and bait gear.
It is a clean state-standard facility and a popular alternative to Deshka for the middle river. The state owns the site and a concessionaire runs it. Crowds are medium.

Aim for July if you want sockeye and August if you want coho. Do not count on keeping a king, since retention is often closed.
