Sportsmans Landing (upper Kenai launch)

Cooper Landing

The feel

Sportsmans Landing is the classic upper-Kenai put-in and the gateway to the Russian River ferry crossing. A gravel and paved ramp, a large lot and a pay booth sit at Mile 55 of the Sterling Highway, at the same site as the ferry.

It is the busiest launch on the upper river. The ferry crowd and the drift launches share the lot, so mornings are hectic.
