Otter Lake
Eagle River
The feel
Otter Lake is an outdoor recreation area among spruce and birch trees on the back side of JBER. A boat house offers rentals on the lake during the summer, and people with JBER access can bring non-motorized boats or rent one.
Gas-operated motors are not allowed on JBER lakes, though electric trolling motors are. Everyone in or on a boat wears a US Coast Guard approved personal flotation device. The fish are Chinook (king) and rainbow trout.
