Klutina Lake Road Milepost 4

The feel

This is an unimproved launch on the Klutina River, and how easy it is depends on the river level. It suits rafts, but launching a power boat here would be a challenge.

The way in is Klutina Lake Road, also called the Brenwick-Craig Road, which leaves the Richardson Highway just north of the Klutina River Bridge. It runs to a point about 0.5 miles east of Klutina Lake and is passable by most 4-wheel drive highway vehicles. The road is muddy and rutted through mile point 4.0.

• Bring a raft, since a power boat would struggle here.
