Purinton Creek Trailhead (Glenn Hwy)

The feel

This is free, primitive trailhead camping at a gravel pullout on the Glenn Highway, a gateway to the Talkeetna Mountains. Sites are dispersed, with gravel parking and no facilities. The Purinton Creek bridge sits at Mile 89 of the Glenn Highway, in country that tends to be one of the driest in the state. You can park at the creek or across the road from the crag, which is visible right off the highway.
