Bonnie Lake State Recreation Site
Chickaloon
The feel
Bonnie Lake is a stocked-lake hideaway near Chickaloon, and a steep, rough access road keeps it quiet. The gravel road leaves the Glenn Highway on the left at Mile 83.3 and runs 1.8 to 2.1 miles to the lake. It is not for big rigs.
There are 9 free sites, undeveloped, with a vault toilet, a boat launch and a dock. The site has no potable water, and no trash facilities, park benches or fire rings.
