Old Man Creek Trail
The feel
This is a big backcountry loop out of Chickaloon, part of the historic Chickaloon-Knik-Nelchina Trail System. It was created to reach the gold found at Albert Creek. The route walks through riparian and muskeg brush and passes several lakes and creeks.
It offers views of the surrounding mountains and leads to some good trout fishing spots. Caribou, bears and moose are abundant, so stay alert.
