Montana Creek Campground
Talkeetna
The feel
The campground is family owned and operated, at Mile Post 96.5 on the South Parks Highway, two hours north of Anchorage in the Susitna Valley, along Montana Creek. The creek is known for rainbow trout, silver salmon, pink salmon and chum salmon, and the camp store sells fishing tackle, rods, reels and lures.
Paved walking and biking trails have underpasses at the George Parks Highway, so you can pass under the road on foot or by bike.
