Nick Dudiak Fishing Lagoon (Homer)

The feel

This is a stocked saltwater lagoon on the Homer Spit, and you fish it from the bank with no boat. Hatchery king and coho smolt are released here so returning salmon can be caught from shore.

There is shore access all around the lagoon, with parking and campgrounds nearby. Crowds are high. Kings come in June at 8-20 lb, and silvers follow in August and September at 5-9 lb.
