- A 9 to 12 foot surfcasting rod set up with bait herring and a 4 ounce weight is a common way to fish here. Casting spinners can work too.

- Cast from the cobble beach on any tide. Feeder (winter) kings all year, coho mid-Jul to mid-Sep, bottomfish year round. The pilings by the ferry dock are the popular casting spot. No boat needed.
