Kenai early- and late-run king salmon (May -July) This fishery targets king salmon mainly in the lower Kenai River downstream of the Soldotna highway bridge. This is primarily a boat based fishery with some limited shore fishing options. Currently there are 6 boat launches and a multitude of shore access sites. The fishery has a large guide presence which presents opportunity for anglers who are visiting or do not have their own vessel to participate. Regulations are conservative in the early-run with size and gear limitations.
