Jewel Lake (Anchorage)

The feel

Jewel Lake is a stocked city lake in west Anchorage, and it is kid-friendly. Jewel Lake Park has a small parking lot, a dock and shore access, so you can cast from the dock or the bank.

Rainbow trout, Arctic char and landlocked salmon are stocked. Rainbows run 10-14 in. Bait, spin and fly all work, and crowds are medium. The season runs May to September, and standard stocked-lake limits apply.
