Jewel Lake
Anchorage
The feel
Jewel Lake is in southwest Anchorage and is a good place to fish from shore. It holds landlocked salmon and rainbow trout, and other attractions around it suit families. Two accesses reach the water: one on Dimond Boulevard and one at a Municipality of Anchorage park with parking.
The lake also draws winter anglers. A 2022 photo shows Anchorage students ice fishing on it.
