Lost Lake Trail Campground

Delta Junction

The feel

This campground sits within Quartz Lake State Recreation Area on Lost Lake, and it is quieter than the main Quartz Lake Campground. It has 11 to 12 sites, and you reach it by driving ten miles north of Delta Junction to mile 277.8 of the Richardson Highway, turning at the Quartz Lake State Park sign and following the road for three miles.

A fishing dock and a small boat launch serve the lake, which holds rainbow trout stocked each year by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. Five hiking trails in the park open views of the Tanana River Valley, the Alaska Range, Shaw Creek Flats, Quartz and Lost Lakes, and Moose Pond.
