Fielding Lake State Recreation Site Campground
Delta Junction
The feel
Fielding Lake is a rustic, high alpine campground with 17 sites on 605 acres at Mile 200.5 of the Richardson Highway, near Isabel Pass. At 2,973 feet in the Alaska Range, it sits above tree line with big mountain views.
The lake holds Arctic grayling, lake trout and burbot, all natural fish rather than stocked ones, and there is a boat launch. Ice sometimes remains on the lake until July. Garbage service is no longer available at the campground.

Mingo says
Expect weather to decide your dates at this height. Ice can linger on the lake into July, so late arrivals find open water.
