Denali Highway
Delta Junction
One of Alaska's classic multi-day gravel rides, the full 135-mile Denali Highway between the Richardson Highway at Paxson and the Parks Highway at Cantwell. Most of the road is graded gravel that does not require a mountain bike; most riders take 2 to 4 days. Opened in 1957, it was the original road access to Denali National Park before the Parks Highway was completed in the 1970s, and it stays remote and lightly trafficked in a way the Denali Park Road, with its bus system, no longer is.
