Birch Hill White Bear Loop
The feel
This 6.2 mile loop runs on wide paths and forest singletrack across Fort Wainwright land. It is a quiet forest walk, with wildlife and berries along the way.
Because it is Army land, you need a permit before you step on it. Open areas can be closed temporarily during military use. Plan on about 3 hours for the 6.2 miles and 662 ft of gain.
