Susitna River rainbow trout fishery (early June-October). The best fishing begins in later June after the spawn and continues until freeze up. Popular multi day float trips include Deshka River (Susitna), Talachulitna River (Skwentna), Lake Creek (Yentna), and Clear Creek (Talkeetna). Day float trips are popular on Willow, Little Willow, and Montana creeks. Hiking and fishing in chest waders is most common way to fish these rainbows. Willow and Montana creeks have multiple access sites for staging and hiking between vehicles.
