Bearpaw River Brewing

The feel

Bearpaw River is a family-run brewery in Wasilla, operated by four brothers, and it makes ales and lagers. The newer brewery and pizza restaurant on East Railroad Avenue serves pizza, wings, salads and bagels baked fresh daily, with a full kitchen and seating indoors and out.

A dog-friendly picnic-table patio is part of the draw, and live music comes some weekends. It is a family-friendly stop, and a Valley Trash Day is held every year around St. Patrick's Day.

Setting

Two Wasilla locations: the original taproom at 4605 E. Palmer-Wasilla Hwy and the newer brewery and pizza restaurant at 240 E. Railroad Ave. Indoor seating and a picnic-table patio.

Hours

The Railroad Ave location is open daily 9am to 9pm. The Palmer-Wasilla Hwy taproom is open daily 3pm to 8pm.

Food and drink

Pizzas about $18 to $23, gluten-free pizza at +$4, salads at $18, one pound of wings for $20. Ales and lagers on draft, in cans, and growlers filled to go.

Music and events

Live music some weekends. Valley Trash Day around St. Patrick's Day.

Head to Railroad Avenue for a meal, since it opens at 9am and runs until 9pm. The taproom on Palmer-Wasilla Hwy closes at 8pm.
