Golden Nugget RV Park

The feel

Golden Nugget RV Park has big paved pull-throughs in the heart of Anchorage. It is a city park built for rigs, with 215 RV and motorhome sites and full hookups at 30/50A. Thirty-four large pull-thru sites and 87 back-in sites suit larger rigs and tow vehicles, and the park is Big Rig and caravan friendly.

Every site has a picnic table. Four heated restrooms have free hot showers and free Wi-Fi, and the laundromat is open daily. There is a playground, a gift shop with RV supplies, and a BBQ pavilion on request. Quiet time runs from 10 PM to 8 AM and the speed limit is 10 mph. Guests walk dogs at the park across the street.

What to expect

Layout and setting

Check-in and stay

Check-in is 1:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Early check-in is $5, and late check-out is $5 per hour from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, then a full day. Stays run daily, weekly (7 day), monthly (30 day) and long term (6 month minimum), with discounted rates for the longer ones.

Parking and rig size

Big paved pull-throughs fit larger rigs and tow vehicles. RVs must be 2005 or newer, with older ones on management approval, and only two vehicles are allowed per site. Extra parking is $10 per day.

Fees and reservations

From $60 per night. Reservations are online, and the park phone is 907-333-2012.

Dogs

Pets are allowed on approval and are never loose or tied up unattended. No pit bulls or aggressive breeds. Walk dogs at the park across the street.

Kids

Children must be supervised at all times and may not play around the office, laundry room, pavilion or restroom area. A playground is on site.

Hazards

No generators, no tent camping, no vehicle or RV washing, and no bonfires. Fires are allowed only in self-contained pits with lids.

Bathrooms and water

Four heated restrooms with free hot showers. Sites come in full hook-up (water, sewer, electric) and electric only. The laundromat is open daily 7:00 AM to 9:30 PM, with the last load at 7:45 PM.

Season and access

Open year-round. Long-term tenants only is noted for year-round stays, so confirm before you book.
