Fred Blixt Cabin
Fox
The feel
This is BLM's most accessible White Mountains cabin, a wheelchair-accessible log cabin a few hundred feet off the highway. A narrow driveway about 500 feet long leads in from the east side of the Elliott Highway at milepost 62.5.
A wooden entrance ramp and a front deck lead to the door. Inside are a table, benches and bunks, with a wood stove for heat. There is no electricity and no running water, and this is a primitive cabin.
