Sheep Creek Lodge
Talkeetna
The feel
This is a log-cabin roadhouse bar on the Parks Highway, with sled dogs, snowmachines and cold beer. The lodge sits next to the highway on the shores of Sheep Creek, at Mile 88. It runs a full restaurant that serves breakfast all day, a bar, and a package liquor store.
Salmon streams including Sheep, Willow and Montana creeks are close by, and the lodge offers fishing for five salmon species along with hunting, hiking, snow machining and backpacking. Rooms and cabins are for rent, and there is a spacious campground and RV park.
