The feel

K2 Aviation flies out of Talkeetna State Airport at 14052 East 2nd Street, with paved parking at the airstrip. The shortest tour, the Denali Experience, takes 1 hour, flying up to six miles from the summit and then descending into the Ruth Amphitheater and Great Gorge.

With a glacier landing, the pilot touches down on the Ruth Glacier in the Sheldon Amphitheater, weather permitting.

A flightseeing base for Denali and the Alaska Range at Talkeetna State Airport, with tours of 1 hour to 2 hours.

Time

Denali Experience 1 hour, Denali Flyer 1.25 hours, Denali Grand Tour 1.5 hours; with a glacier landing, 1.5, 1.75 and 2 hours.

Crowds and best time

Open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., with many departures through the day.

Fees and passes

Denali Experience $335 per person, Denali Flyer $410, Denali Grand Tour $495, Top of the World $545. A glacier landing adds $135. Landing tours need a Denali National Park pass for passengers 16 and older, bought in the office the day of travel.

Kids

Denali Experience is open to all ages. The Denali Grand Tour is recommended for ages 8 and up.
