Kasilof River State Recreation Site

The feel

This is a 30 acre state recreation site on the Kasilof River at Sterling Highway milepost 109.5, with 25 day-use sites and a boat launch. The launch is popular with fishing guides and sport fishermen. Moose, black and brown bear, lynx, squirrels and hares live in the area.

Something is in season most of the year. Rainbow and steelhead trout are fished year-round, kings from January to July, sockeye from June to August and coho from August to October.
