Peak 2 Trail

The feel

The trail is well maintained and opens with a series of switchbacks through a thick forest of towering trees. The greenery gradually gives way to rocky terrain, and the climb gets steeper as you near the ridge that leads to the summit.

Rough gravel and boulders make careful footing important. The summit rewards the effort with views of Anchorage and the Chugach Mountains. It is a very popular hike, so expect to meet other people.
