Eydlu Bena Loop Trail
The feel
The loop sits on the northwest side of Eklutna Lake. It starts on an old jeep road before the path narrows and winds through thick forest. The forest opens to mountain views and an overlook of Eklutna Lake.
It is an easy, kid-friendly loop that is popular for hiking, running and walking. Trail reports mention downed trees, overgrown areas and muddy spots, so sturdy footwear helps. The loop connects to the longer Eklutna Lakeside Trail if you want more distance.
