Peak 1145

The feel

The route starts at Eklutna Lake and heads southwest on the Spillway Trail. After you cross the Eklutna River, a faint singletrack climbs steeply through boreal forest and enters the alpine tundra. The summit is open.

The valley floor is easy to follow, with some muddy spots, and so are the first 1500ft up the mountain. About mid mountain the trail peters off. On the ridge, a well defined trail goes higher to the east and lower to the west. It is usually not too busy.
