Denali South Viewpoint
The feel
A short, partly paved path leads from the Denali View South lot to viewpoints with interpretive signs naming the visible peaks. The first viewpoint is directly across from the parking lot. A trail to the right climbs a hill to a better view with more interpretive signs, and the upper viewpoint has a shelter and a view of the Chulitna River in the foreground.
It is one of the best roadside views of 20,320-foot Denali. It is also the most heavily visited scenic outlook in Denali State Park, used for both day and overnight stays.
