Swell Tacos (Homer Spit)
Homer
The feel
Swell Taco is a locally-owned craft taco shop on the Homer Spit, built around fresh ingredients and Alaska-sourced seafood. The corn tortillas are homemade, and the fried rockfish taco is Alaska rockfish crusted in corn chips and deep-fried, then topped with cabbage, salsa verde, chipotle cream, cilantro and a lime wedge.
Seating is outdoors and shared with neighboring shops, with yard games for kids. The menu also includes a grilled cheeky halibut taco, birria, carne asada, carnitas and a beer-battered avocado taco.
