Soldotna Kenai River Overlook
Soldotna
The feel
Soldotna's riverfront has boardwalks, gravel paths and benches overlooking the Kenai River, so you can watch anglers fish from dry land. Soldotna Creek Park alone has 2,300 feet of riverfront boardwalk, 300 feet of accessible ramp and 12 sets of river access stairs.
The river has runs of king, sockeye, silver and pink salmon. Anglers fish from elevated platforms or wade in from the stairways in hip waders. Bald eagles are always fishing along the river too.
