Denali Viewpoint North (Mile 162.4)

The feel

Denali Viewpoint North sits at the north edge of Denali State Park, with a parking lot and picnic tables. The mountain view is directly across from the parking lot, so it takes only a short walk from the car.

There is a panoramic viewpoint of the Alaska Range, the Tokosha Mountains and the Chulitna River, with interpretive signs and a short nature trail. The site is very popular for both day and overnight use.

Treat this stop as a chance, not a promise. Denali is commonly cited as visible roughly one day in three in summer, so pick a clear day.
