Minto Lakes

Nenana

The Minto Flats wetland complex is located approximately 31 miles west of Fairbanks within the Tanana River drainage. This area of marshes and lakes is interconnected by numerous sloughs and five rivers: Goldstream Creek and the Chatanika, Tatalina, Tolovana, and Tanana rivers. This entire area is collectively managed by ADF&G under the heading "Tolovana River drainage". Northern pike spend the summers feeding in MInto Lakes and nearby rivers and sheefish can be found congregating at river confluences.
