Old mining road passable by 4 wheel drive vehicles, ATVs, and snowmachines. The first mile has been armoured and the remaining miles of trail can be muddy during wet times of the years. To access Coal Mine #5 and Backdown Lakes, turn east on an ATV trail 1.6 miles from the start of Coal Mine Road. The remaining lakes along the road marked with Lake signs. Last Lake is at mile 1.9, Brodie Lake mile 2.1, Paul's Pond mile 2.7 on the north side, Rangeview at mile 2.7 on the south side, Dick's Pond at mile 4.1 and Ken's Pond at mile 4.7.
