Eklutna Lake Campground
Chugiak
The feel
Eklutna Lake is a glacier-fed turquoise lake ringed by peaks, with a paved trail hugging the shore. The campground has pull-in sites in the spruce, 50 campsites in all, with water, latrines, picnic tables and fire pits.
Near the trailhead parking area, interpretive displays and a telescope let you watch wildlife and lake activity. Summer visitors hike, bike, ride horses, climb, picnic, fish, boat and ride ATVs, and winter brings cross-country skiing, dog mushing and snowmobiling.
