Tidewater Taphouse
Seward
The feel
Tidewater Taphouse sits at the small-boat harbor in Seward, in what used to be a boat repair garage. It opened in 2020 and keeps an industrial exterior, with a rustic maritime interior of wood-planked walls, nautical accents, mermaid statues and bronze ship antiques.
Downstairs is casual. Upstairs is the Kraken Lounge, slightly more upscale, with a wooden boat-shaped bar and views of the harbor, mountains and bay. A 16-foot glass garage door opens onto a large patio with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs.
