49th State Brewing Company - Denali

The feel

This is the Denali outpost of 49th State Brewing in Healy, a separate building and location from the Anchorage brewpub. The beer garden has bocce, cornhole, ping pong and bonfire pits, with seating both inside and outside.

The bus from the film Into the Wild sits on the grounds, and visitors can climb aboard to see the memorabilia on display. The menu runs to halibut and chips, yak burgers, wild caught salmon and king crab.

Seasonal festivals, the Solstice Luau and Augtoberfest, and a dog-friendly Yappy Hour on the first Friday of the month, June through August.

Dogs are welcome, with a monthly Yappy Hour on the first Friday, June through August.

Bring a dog in June, July or August for the Yappy Hour. Augtoberfest is a Bavarian-style festival.
