Tsalteshi Trails
The feel
Rolling forest loops run behind Skyview Middle School, more than 25 kilometers (15 miles) of trail in all. In summer the whole network is open to hikers, runners, mountain bikers and dogs, and berry picking and mushrooming are allowed for personal use. There is even a disc golf course on the Squirrel and Rabbit loops.
The trails are a maze, and a newcomer can find it overwhelming. Maps are posted at the trailheads, and the Trailforks app puts your position on a map. Moose, bears and coyotes can be on the trails.

Come in summer if you want to bring the dog. Winter turns the main trails over to skiers.
